To mark Food Safety Week (9-15 June) the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) is offering a range of free resources, tips and advice on food safety and hygiene for schools. The resources tie in with the ‘GermWatch’ theme of this year’s campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of good food hygiene p More…ractice, especially the 4 Cs for food safety (cleaning, cooking, chilling and avoiding cross-contamination). FDF’s foodlink website has a number of resources for schools, including downloadable factfiles on the 4 Cs, food poisoning, hygiene, food storage and preparation; plus puzzles and quizzes; and an image bank. They are available all year round and appeal to all ages.
