This resource, from Teacher's TV, contains everything you need for a lesson on budgeting for a car and looking at borrowing money. There is a teacher's dvd with tips, and, for the lesson, a dvd, worksheets and handouts. I also made my own handouts of pictures of the cars for learners to annotate, More… which they enjoyed.
I used this as part of a Foundation Learning Problem Solving unit, as the lesson looks closely at dilemmas involoved in purchasing a car, and weighing up pros and cons, such as insurance group, petrol usage, looks, size for parking, etc.
