Frequency Table - Graph Generator - Excel

Overall rating 4 out of 54.8 (60 ratings)

Last updated 19 February 2014, created 30 October 2008, viewed 79,564

A great resource that automatically generates charts and graphs by entering your data into the frequency table, this saves plenty of time. There is also a tab for printing. Children need to label the chart and the axis. A useful resource for numeracy if you wish to incorporate ICT into the lesson bu More…t do not wish to spend time teaching them how to make a graph in Excel. Can be used on the IWB. Feel free to adapt/share/enjoy! Steve Ideal for KS1, KS2 and KS3 students.

Well worth a look!. Was just about to spend some time on Excel on making something like this - thanks for saving me the time, and making a better job of it than I could have done!

Good use of excel, but take care with graph types. When using discrete data you can't use line graphs as presented in the file. The points are joined by lines meaning that it is continuous, but the data is not. In its current form, the line graph can be used to discuss the misconception.
