These KML format files from the British Geological Survey allow data to be viewed very easily in Google Earth and Google Maps. Just click on the links and if you have Google Earth installed, it will be launched with the geological map displayed as one of the layers. Other GIS software, geobrowsers, More…virtual globes and web-based mapping applications such as MapTube can also read data in this format.
