Geometry end of topic CSI

Pupils must analyse five pieces of evidence to eliminate nine of ten suspects. Ideal as an end of topic activity, pupils need to peform the common processes but also interpret their results in a different context. I usually have pupils working in pairs and run this over an hour session with ten minu More…tes at the end to feedback their conclusions. Power point to support in delivery - with the answers on at the end. Suspects are celebrities, although the pupils love it if you put pictures of them or staff on!

This is an excellent resource based on the topic of geometry. Pupils have to solve the crime by working out the answer to a set of questions. As they work out the answer, they eliminate potential suspects. This is a fun and engaging way to teach/assess a topic and also gives the pupils a chance to work together and to compete against each other. Thanks for sharing!
