Grid reference game

A large grid with images that can be used to encourage children to learn about grid references. Eg: What is in sqyare A3 or which square is the house in etc. I blew mine up to A3 on the photocopier and coloured/laminated it but it would work just as well in it's black and white format. Has also More…been used as the basis for a homework activity with another class (they enjoyed having the grid to colour themselves once questions completed). Now updated and grid reference numbers in the right place - thank you for pointing my mistake out. I don't know what I was thinking!

A great start to 4 fig refs. I duplicated the slide and moved the figures to be in line with the lines and changed the letters to numbers too. This would be the next step. Both worked fine and enabled us to move to interactive map games easily.
