How Science Works Cells Task

Overall rating 5 out of 55 (2 ratings)

I have printed and laminated the cards, then used them to create a circus. The pupils rotate around, completing the worksheet. Each case relates to a particular specialised cell. The pupils need to look at the clues and work out what the problem is in each.

I am using this for a lesson observation. I think it will really help students apply their knowledge on how cells are adapted for their function, but what can go wrong if they lose these adaptations or if they change (due to mutation). thanks very much for this!

Fantastic! I modified it slightly to have the students sketch a diagram of each cell and had them label one feature that relates to its function. Excellent resource!
