A look at the International Baccalaureate at work in two schools. Range High School near Liverpool currently offer A-Levels and BTEC to Sixth Formers, but is considering introducing the International Baccalaureate. Deputy headteacher Graham Aldridge visits Harrogate Grammar School's IB coordinato More…r Michael Bailey to learn about the programme's structure and find out how it differs from A-Levels. He also meets a group of IB students to hear their thoughts on the course. Graham then heads to Broadgreen High School in Liverpool where the IB has been running since 1992, to find out why they run the programme.

It is interesting to see an alternative to A-Levels. The video gives views from students who are taking the program and looks at advantages and disadvantages. I like the way that the students get to cover a wider range of subjects. A useful clip if you are thinking of offering this program at your school.
