This presentation provides contextual information about William Shakespeare, the Globe and contemporary theatre. There is also an examination of iambic pentameter, including some spoken text that students can listen to, and its place in Shakespeare's work.

The powerpoint is very basic and each slide really would need more and more accurate information for key stage three students .I enjoyed the iambic pentameter examples and will use these, however to suggest that a child studying a play text should ignore the punctuation and stage stage directions is in my eyes quite unforgivable....
