Introduction to WW1 for Owen's Dulce et DecorumEst

I begin with WW1 quiz and get students to fill in any info that they already know. Then I use Ppt and YouTube to help them fill in correct answers. I go through Ppt to and discuss what led to war, propaganda, trenches, weapons (particularly poison gas as it features in poem) and shell shock. I s More…how them clips as I go though Ppt. I then tell them a little abt Owen and give them the poem to fill in (predict words). As we go through this we discuss reasons for their selected words. For homework/extra classwork - study questions are completed.
