A multipurpose lesson (or two or three) that acquaints students with the basic principles of historical methodology. The powerpoint asks and answers key questions on the Ripper case while the handout engages the students in a series of tasks that challenges them and embeds historical skills. The questions increase in difficulty from questions on primary and secondary sources to cross-referencing and finally historical research.
