A group of Essex students respond to a lesson on fair trade. Maths teacher Nikki Matthews demonstrates how she is teaching global citizenship to her Year 8 tutor group.

Nikki introduces the group to the concept of fair trade through a board game in which the class take on the roles of producers in the developing world.

They soon learns that fair trade products are no longer confined to just coffee and bananas. They also see how villagers in Pakistan now have access to higher wages, free medical care, free education and more, all thanks to the introduction of fair trade footballs.

It is a great video with lots of ideas. I would like to know where to get hold of the Fair Trade game that is used in Lesson one. Does anyone know? Many thanks for the video.
