I used this as a 20min interview lesson and I think it would be a great full lesson if developed. I used my own Northern Irish dialect and explained what the words meant to pupils... They had a guess first! A good introduction to the idea of dialect and standard english- perhaps a way in for pupils More… to then go and research their own dialects/language.
