This lesson includes: a fun and challenging yoyo puzzle to get the class thinking about turning effects (can be done live with a bigger yoyo but I have provided videos); a starter introducing them to the topic of forces, and a lesson explaining the different types with examples (to be accompanied by More… real demos of levers). There is also a worksheet to check keyword knowledge. At the end, challenge the kids to identify which type of levers are hidden in the double-levers. See also: levers 2 (introduction to moments).

Super lesson - thank you! I hate teaching levers but this lesson has made it much more enjoyable for all.
