Recognise o’clock times and know the days of the week and months of the year (four days).

Children read, show and order times showing o’clock times. A timeline is used to help order events in real life and from a story. Stories are used as context for learning the days of the week in order, and to order events over a week. The children make a class calendar and play a game to practise putting months in order.

4 days planning on telling the time and knowing days of week and months of the year. The planning is based and taught through three books: What's the time Mr Wolf?, Mr Wolf's week and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Fantastic practical activities for groups and individual. Time is a very hard concept for many children to grasp and using text is a great way to support and teach time. Brilliant!
