3D shape (three days).

Children describe cones, spheres, cylinders, cubes and cuboids, including the shape of their faces, whether they are curved or flat, and begin to count the numbers of faces. They use these and other 3D shapes to print to learn more about the shapes of their faces. 3D shapes (including packaging) are sorted according to whether they roll or not, and also matched to 2D drawings of them. Packaging and photographs are used to make a display of 3D shapes, with labels naming and describing them. Children guess mystery 3D shapes according to how they feel, or are described. They make 3D shapes using construction kits.
