Adding and subtracting 10 and 11 (six days).

Children revise adding and subtracting 10 to and from multiples of ten, but move on to recording the jumps on a landmarked line.

They add and subtract 11 to and from multiples of ten, recording the jump of ten and hop of one, first on a beaded line and then on a landmarked line. They add and subtract 10 to and from other two-digit numbers, recording the jumps of ten on a beaded line, and then build on this to use the beaded line to record their steps when adding 11 to two-digit numbers. They also use the context of money to add 11p.
