Position, direction and 2D shape (four days).

Children are given clues using positional language about objectives on shelves, and give instructions so that children or robots can follow a route or find a way through a maze. Pentagons, hexagons and octagons are introduced; children are shown, and make a range of these. Children use descriptions of properties to guess mystery shapes. They sort shapes, and also combine simple 2D shapes to make new shapes.

Personally I find this very useful, it includes notes for the teacher and sets out the learning in clear steps. The additional resources are very useful.
