Add two-digit numbers by partitioning and recombining (three days).

Children learn to use Splits (partitioning both numbers, adding the tens, adding the ones, and then recombining) to double two-digit numbers and then to add pairs of two-digit numbers (where the ones digits total less than 10, and the tens less than 100). They sort calculations according to whether they prefer to use Jump 10 (J10, counting on in tens and then adding the ones digit) or Splits.
