Number facts ( pairs to 20, pairs of multiples of ten to 100) (three days).

Children revise partitioning pairs to 20 and recording the corresponding addition and subtraction sentences. They use these to balance a number balance and write the corresponding equalities such as 16 + 4 = 18 + 2. Pairs to ten, the 100 bead bar image and 10p coins are used to help children see the link between pairs to 10 and pairs of multiples of ten with totals of 100. Children also solve simple word problems involving facts to 20 and 100.
