Pounds and pence notation and money investigations (five days).

Children learn to write amounts between one and ten pounds using pounds and pence notation, e.g. £3.79. They are also asked to work out which coins could be used to pay amounts between one pound and ten pounds. Ordered lists are used to help children find various combinations of coins. Children use pairs to 10 and pairs of multiples of ten with a total of 100 to find change from one pound.
