Properties of 3D solids (three days).

Children revise the names and properties of the cube, cuboid, cylinder, sphere, cone and pyramid. Prisms are introduced and children are asked to name their faces, to count the numbers of faces, edges and vertices and to see if they can see a relationship between the number of sides of the ‘end’ face and the numbers of faces, edges or vertices.
