Mental and written addition of three-digit numbers (four days).
Children revise using expanded addition to add pairs of three-digit numbers where the units come to more than 10. They then go onto add pairs of three-digit numbers where the multiples of ten come to more than 100. Estimation is encouraged. Finally children are asked to choose whether to add pairs of three-digit numbers mentally or using the written method.
