Mental and oral starters for Year 3 Spring Teaching Sequence 14.

Double 2-digit numbers (totals more than 100). Use Venn or Carroll diagrams to sort data. Answer a question by interpreting data. Know the relationship between kilograms and grams. Count on in 3s, 4s, look for patterns. Understand place value of three-digit numbers. Count on and back in 1s, 10s and 100s from 3-digit numbers. Practise a range of 2/3 step number problems mentally. Practise adding 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 in the context of money.
