Multiplication Rectangles - Geoff Giles activity

Using a Geoff Giles idea, this activity allows pupils to build up an understanding of how to partition for multiplication. Print and laminate the rectangles (differentiated by colour) so pupils can draw on them with whiteboard pens. The flipchart includes a variety of different starters and problem More…s (it was created for a wide variety of classes / year groups) so pick and choose.
