I did this cut and stick timeline activity with my year 2 class at the end of the topic on Nelson Mandela. This was great for assessment as I was able to find out if children knew the events in chronological order. There are three differentiated timeline worksheets for each ability level. For the More… higher ability children, they can put in the dates for events and for the less able children, they have the words past and present to avoid confusion.

A really useful sheet. Would be good to include in a non-fiction book made by the children.
