Newsthink is a fortnightly email that looks at the stories behind recent headlines, and provides teachers with activities, videos, photos and discussion triggers. It's ideal in informal education as well as for assemblies, tutor time, and to keep any subject lessons current.

This is the link to the different resources from the British Red Cross, but in particular how to sign up for the email. Their resources are really good but obviously you have to pick and choose the ones that are useful to you. There are lesson plans on things like Texting to Stephen Lawrence, the variety of activities is incredible.
