Odd Socks is a colourful story with pictures and text. It uses the metaphor of ‘odd socks’ to deal with cultural differences, intellectual differences, and physical differences. It was originally written to help the siblings of children with disabilities - however, the metaphor of ‘odd sock More…s’ is broad enough to encompass a whole range of issues relating to diversity. Due to popular demand, this resource is now also avaliable as a powerpoint. It is the download labelled "oddsockspdf".

Just wondering if you think this would work with a year 6 class as well, with a view to stimulating a discussion relating to ASC? I had a younger sister with Downs syndrome and reading this brought tears to my eyes and I'm supposed to be a grown up!
