It is hugely concerning to see how many schools are supporting this 'charity'. I can only assume that teachers are unaware of its practices. Please look at the following links detailing their activities. https://sites.google.com/site/occalert/ http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2002/dec/18/guardiansocietysupplement7 OXFAM, DHL, the Inland Revenue and the Co-Op have all withdrawn their support for Operation Christmas Child due to concerns over its evangelising focus. Also the Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) have concerns about their practices. Schools that support OCC are aiding (albeit unintentionally) the activities of an unscrupulous Christian evangelising group who are misleadingly giving the impression this is a simple Christmas present charity and are not being told this is a child evangelism project.
