Lots of words needing the AI filled into them. Then read the words. The worksheet can be used in many ways. I get the children to fill in the AI sound with a coloured felt tip. Weaker readers are then able to sound the word out more easily. I also make sure that they understand the meanings of all the words.

I'm going to use this with my dyslexic Yr6 student who struggles with 'ai'. Once filled in and meanings checked, I'll use it as the basis for some precision teaching.
