Planning for using A Drove of Bullocks

A series of lesson for using this text as inspiration for creating a class book. We first looked at different types of nouns and collective nouns, then we analysed the text and looked at the use of expanded noun phrases in the text, before eventually creating our own texts using collective nouns for animals and expanded noun phrases. We used the pictures in the book as inspiration for our own illustrations and created a shared class book which the children are really proud of.
