Planning supplies for a voyage on the Golden Hind

Tudor linked maths to work on data handling. Pupils have to plan the supplies for a long sea voyage based on three different ranks of sailor, all of whom are entitled to different rations. Enables data handling on a range of scales with ever increasing quantities. Best to start with one type of s More…ailor and build up to all three and then all men at each rank. Done gradually it makes for an exciting project using lots of data handling skills.
