Originally done for Y10 A combined cloze and wordsearch. Useful for mixed ability groups, get them all to have a go at the cloze, those who finish can do the wordsearch while the others catch up.

Re Earth Science starter lesson. The following two points could help improve the activity:

a. Provide a list of the the missing terms, and

b. a more appropiate example of the effects of rising convection currents
can be found in the form of mid- oceanic ridges. Hawaii is an example
of a hot spot..
