Part of a creative curriculum linked to newspapers. Information about how books and news used to be printed, and how letters need to be reflected vertically in order to be printed the right way round. In maths, children investigated vertical symmetry in letters and then created their own printing blocks of the alphabet. We then used these to print class headlines. We also got children to write their names reflected and make a string print.

Really great resources for the history of printing and a great idea to link with symmetry
