I used this very simple powerpoint presentation on pushes and pulls with my Year 1. We looked at each picture and discussed movement/vocabulary. From this we produced a venn diagram of push/pull/push & Pull. Kids loved it - hope you find it useful too!

Pictures are helpful to imagine the personal movement experience students may have with the seeing and doing the everyday actions. While they seem simple to an adult, children need to physicalize these actions since push and pull work together.
