Rainforest DART + Sound inspiration lesson

A lesson delivered to encourage rainforest poetry from the children. Began by using the clips from the website and invited the children to make notes about any words that came to mind.
Introduced the DART poem (poem found on the internet) and children to fill in the word blanks. The word bank is fo More…r the shortened poem activity, which is plenty for the children I would say.
Lesson proceeded with discussion about word choices and if any similarities between own words and the poet's words, then encouraged children to write their own poem using words from the sound clips.
