Very helpful as a basis for our sixth form assembly about random acts of kindness. Not only was it Random Acts of Kindness week before half term (when it was our assembly) but as someone else has said, great link for Lent. Thanks.

Adapted the power point as the basis for an assembly at both KS2 and KS1 and had a lot of positive feedback. It was really helpful and thought provoking. Thank you!

This was brilliant. Gave me a great assembly idea related to appreciation - we have to do assemblies related to a whole school value...I was struggling. Thank you so much!

Great assembly used it for the whole school (secondary). Added a slide about Jeremy Myers who organised an impromptu clean up after the Manchester riots. Jenny

I used some of this for my first KS2 assembly - also tied it in with the 'Pay it Forward' idea. Thanks!

Really good idea. I added to it by showing video of my tutor group doing random acts of kindness. I then showed the trailer for the film 'Pay it Forward' which is all about how we can all make the world a better place by doing doing something for someone else. I then asked the year group to go out and do a random act of kindness but to kick it all off I gave everyone a sweet and told them they had to give it someone else to cheer them up, say thank you or another random reason. It worked really well and pupils talked about it all day. Some staff were really impressed with it too, when they received a sweet from a pupil.

Thanks.... Thankyou for the idea. I was really struggling for an idea for my Year 4 class assembly. Would never have thought of using Danny even though I'm a big fan.I've just used your idea, and made up my own script. Hope it goes well!

update to assemby ppt. Sorry new to the uploading game - the Science of Happiness assembly is based on the 'Making Slough Happy' documentary from a few years ago - we created a 'happiness manifesto' and I handed out sunflower seeds to all the form tutors for a sunflower competition.
