Using Katy Perry's 'Fireworks' as the basis for the lesson, students will identify her use of similes and the effect and imagery that this creates, this is followed by a creative writing task. It also includes examples from Eminem, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Beyonce.

This looks excellent - so much more engaging than some of the online resources. Thank you for creating it. The 'poetic devices' worksheet is a nice complementary piece, too, in 'related resources'.
