A powerpoint I created on subordinate clauses, with animation. It shows how main clauses can stand alone and subordinate clauses can’t. Also has 2 activities for the chn to spot and create sub. clauses. I am doing this with Y5. Thanks for viewing, please let me know what you think! :)

I'm not sure all your sentences have subordinate clauses. 'The kitten, a purebred tabby, was completely adorable', 'a purebred tabby' is an expanded noun phrase, it has no verb. BP Sept 2014
