HLTAs and LSAs support and enrich the learning of students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties at Oakwood School, Bexleyheath. Oakwood is a small school where many of the students have speech and language problems. The LSAs and HLTAs work to ensure that all pupils leave the school More… with either GCSEs or a job. The LSAs are subject specific and conduct in-class assessments. They also offer 1-to-1 help outside the classroom, and take pupils off-site to take part in alternative curriculum projects. Two HLTAs show how a Social Language Programme which they designed works. .
