Tasks to prepare for writing controlled assessment

Overall rating 4 out of 54.5 (2 ratings)

A series of tasks to prepare for a controlled writing assessment, once they've written their draft. I'm not in favour of them trying to learn it off by heart, I want to use it as an opportunity to build up language skills rather than an exercise in memorising a load of text. The activities More… are therefore aimed at helping them identify mistakes & build up a bank of key vocab/grammar to rely on when doing any writing or speaking, whether an assessment or otherwise. If your school doesn't have Linguascope, I'm sure you can find something to substitute for the task on the final slide.
