’Reading Aloud Christmas Treats’ gets into the Christmas spirit, with a rare and exclusive interview with Raymond Briggs, the creator of ‘The Snowman’ and ‘Father Christmas’.

Children's Laureate, Michael Rosen, meets with the writer to talk about the background to these Christmas stories and to gain an insight into the characters he created. He tells Michael why he thinks it's obvious ‘Father Christmas’ should be grumpy by nature and not the traditional jolly character, and he discusses why some people think the story of ‘The Snowman’ could be a metaphor for death.
