In ‘TAs’, two charismatic women illustrate the demanding and responsible roles now being taken on by TAs. The video also explores the importance of good management in enabling them to do so.

Rosie Miller is a learning mentor at St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Portsmou More…th. In recent years, she has devised social classes for students, leading to a marked improvement in behaviour at the school.

Helen Skelton is a senior TA at Bracken Lane Primary School, Retford, where she co-ordinates a reading scheme in which adult volunteers work one-to-one with pupils.

A great resource demonstrating how TA's can help develop behaviour and reading. This resource is clear and has concrete ideas of what can be done.
