I wrote this for Yr 6 as an alternative to the usual Nativity, Christmas or Thanksgiving fare. The slides are part plan, part teaching resource and should be employed as teachers see fit. Please read the notes written beneath individual slides for more information. I have included several online res More…ources and some reading for those who would like to delve deeper. I am not suggesting that children read books on structural anthropology just yet. In the meantime I shall count the minutes to when somebody yells 'Saïd', 'the other' or 'orientalism' . Have fun with it, my class did. :-)
