This is a play and powerpoint designed to work together. The play can be read by able readers and used to describe the events leading up to the discovery of the tomb by Howard Carter. The lesson started in the classroom but at the point when the tomb was opened (slide 16) I moved the class to a More…small learning mentor room which I had decorated with rich materials and artefacts and had them crawl into the room through a pop-up tunnel. We finished the play and the slides in there as the room got hotter and hotter - a memorable session.
