The journey - shape poem

This is a lovely poem that I used as part of a journeys topic. We used a parachute on the yard to gain vocabulary about the sail - sounds etc.We also visited the harbour, drew boats, made boats from recycled materials and floated them in the local river. The children wrote some fabulous poems and really enjoyed this book
