My own creative topic planning for homes and buildings theme including related 4 week literacy planning. Literacy planning is based on instruction writing as we looked at the book the lighthouse keeper's lunch and made our own sandwiches. I have used this for a mixed year 1/2 class but could be adapted.

Really detailed plans with some really interesting activities for the children to do. Great cross-curricular links too.
