Excellent site. My colleague and I visited Peter's school about six years ago as part of our research into VT and we now host visits from local and not so local schools. We spent a year planning for its introduction, winning the hearts and minds of staff. I cannot emphasise enough the importance of planning and gaining staff support and thereafter persuading students that VT is a natural way of grouping students. Five years down the line we would not change back to year groups. Peter's advice was spot on.

Really useful site... Don't go VT without preparation and training!!. Essential reading and has the potential to really help schools in innovative ways
