During November 28th till 9th December all the world leaders are meeting in Durban, South Africa to agree on a legally binding deal on decreasing their carbon emissions. This is a lesson plan to support you to run your own summit. The web address will also enable you to share the outcome of your More… summit on-line with young people from across Kenya, Malawi, Senegal, the Netherlands and Bulgaria. We also have a youth delegate attending the Durban summit so visit the web page to keep up to date on what's going on with lots of videos, photos and blog posts!

This is a little out of date now - as the summit was in 2011. However the really good bit is the student resources pdf. It has loads of really good information and links to some you tube clips about climate change and why we need to think about it. The USA clip is good about Alaska. It might be difficult to set up a summit between schools and to run a debate, but I guess some schools might be able to do this.
