Powerpoint game designed to fit in with the Year 1 programme of study for the new science curriculum. (Pupils should be taught to identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals)
The slides alternate between enlarged images of parts of an animal with a photo of the whole animal. Mostly British wildlife, but a few familiar animals from other parts of the world.
When children guess what the animal is, you could ask them what they saw in the picture that gave them a clue - could lead onto sorting and describing activities.
